THE MOVIE END AND POSTING ENDS

THE CONDEMNED
This a story set in the present day about a group of people using convicted prisoners to earn money. They take 10 death-row inmates form prisons in the Caribbean and latin America to play a game which was going to be broadcasted live on the internet. Steve Austin stars as Jack Conrad who is also
chosen for the broadcast. He and the other nine are taken to an isolated islands somewhere in Asia. The island is small and fitted with
cameras all over to capture their every move. the deal they were given was simple. The person who end up alive alone wins the competition therefore wins his freedom and free to go home. Because all were death-row inmates they actually took in the challenge of last man standing or survival of the fittest. On the way things go terribly wrong as the support staff start seeing how people were suffering and getting killed in the game therefore some of them resolve to quitting but the man behind the idea turns violent and doesn't let anyone go.Jack Conrad manages to fight for his life, imaged as the winner but does not stop there. he goes on to punish the despicable people behind all this. Therefore he got his life no longer gets executed and his justice through his means of dealing with the murders for entertainment.

HAPPY ENDING
When the prisoners reached the island, instead of fighting each other they somehow managed to cooperate. With Jack Conrad, leading the group, they secretly found a cave and hide inside while others go to one camera and pretend they are fighting to draw away the attention of the people who initiated the whole idea. Meanwhile Jack conrad's sister who is a FBI, managed to get the police raid the island well in time before none of the prisoners were killed. The people behind this activity were arrested and the prisoners we all given their freedom and went back to be with their families.

ITS SAD I HAVE TO SAY BYE TODAY,

PARODOX
Look at the sentence below

if this sentence is true, then superman exist.

yeah, this is just basically a paradox, lets look at the sentence, in reality we know that the sentence is false hence meaning that superman does not exist. But what if we analyse this hypothetically, if this sentence is really true, thenhypothetically we can conclude that yes superman exists if the sentence is true. however thats is exactly what the sentence states, not that superman exist but only if the sentence is true.
Parodox, thats what they all about mixing up your brain. Look at this one
if everything is possible is it impossible for everything to be impossible

MORAL
Moral is one branch of philosophy which deals with what is wrong or right and normally differs, from one society to another due to different backgrounds, religion, culture, practices and believes. it is mainly aimed at moulding individuals behaviour and in order to achieve a peaceful society, or can say working enviroment. for instance imagine working in a company where there are no rules and regulations to abide. what will really happen? every worker coming to work at a time they prefer and then one day it will happen that no one comes to work and productions stops and customers wontt get served. Some of the moral values include care, love, freedom, helping the need and the list is endless, you can add more for your own good!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

FORMAL CONTRADICTORY CLAIMS
I was just sitting at home and wondering what will happen should i fail my statistics group assignment. I am so worried because my coursework marks so far is very low. [1]If i do fail my group assignment, then i will drop statistics and will redo the subject again next semester. However i am still reluctant about it because i know [2]i can study hard for the exam and get high marks to cover up for my coursework marks. This is really troubling me, i have to make this decision before its too late. [3]I should drop statisics or sit for final exam. Help me over this pleaseeeeeee!!!!!!!!!

1:
Since i did not fail my group assignment, so i will not drop statistics nor will i redo the subject next semester
2: I cannot study hard for the exam or get high marks to cover up for my coursework marks
3: I shouldn't drop statistics and sit for final exam.

EXAMPLES............, YEAH LETS SEE!!!!!!!

AD POPULUM APPEAL TO INDIRECT CONSEQUENCES
You should to study hard for you exams or else you will fail and wont be able to complete your degree within specified time. You will be in university until you are very old and your juniors will always laugh at you. You will end up being miserable and quitting your studies. Then you won't find a good job and will not accomplish your dreams.

ARGUMENUM A SILENTIO
I have tried learning to play Piano since I was young but until now i still cannot. I guess I will NEVER be successful in the music industry.

FALLACY OF AMBUGUITY
This one is from a friend's conversation , she said
"I just watched baseball team practising for the game tommorow. Their pitch is really bad. "
what really does pitch mean the baseball field OR the act of throwing the ball to the batter to hit it.
This fallacy occurs  like when you don't know which of the two meanings is the speaker refering to as seen above
Oh notice that i have used two different stategies for defining the word pitch above
baseball Field - definition by synonym
The act of throwing the ball to the batter to hit it -  dictionary definition(www.thefreedictionary.com/pitch) definition 2

OVERGENERALITY
Look a the conversation below between Caroline, Moneyface and Elyn
Caroline:When are we going to start doing the group assignment?
Elyn: Later.
Moneyface: When is the due date?
Carolyn: Soon
Elyn: Okay okay lah! We will talk about it later, I have to leave.
Caroline & MoneyFace: Bye, oh you mind telling us where you going
Elyn: Somewhere

oh yeah, look at the highlighted words below, what do they exactly mean? Later, in two minutes, hours or days, how about soon, tomoro or next week, somewhere, could it be library, or cafe.
This are the kind of Words we use in our daily conversations, sometime okay but sometimes they sound mean but the important thing is to avoid them when you are writing or trying to convince people of something.

LOADED QUESTION
Why can't you be quiet when the lecture is speaking?
As a reader when you see the question you assume that the person who is being asked is always talking and making noise while the lecture is in progress, that why it is said to be loaded, it comes with a different attached meaning which makes the reader make doubtful conclusion.

Be careful when you ask such question because if its concerning me, I will slap you!!!!!!!!!! haha bye enjoy, c ya tomoro, wen i do my last post

GIVE IT A TRY

ANALOGY
Lets play around with words, are you ready? I will give the first part then you fill in the next

   FOOD    :       EAT
   WATER     :    ..........................

   STRONG    :   WEAK
   GOOD   :   ...............

   ORANGE :  FRUIT
   CAT  :   ................

  HAPPY    :      SMILE
 SAD  :  ...............

PETITIO PRINCIPII FALLACY
I was sitting in front of the library today waiting for my critical thinking class to begin, while i was sitting there, one boy came and joined his friends who were sitting in the table just besides mine. He showed them a CD which he was holding on the hand. They asked him why he bought a new expensive CD while he can download from the internet and transfer into an Empty CD. He defended himself by saying by doings so he will be practising Software piracy which is illegal.

One of his other friends hit back and asked him "Why are you saying sofware piracy is illegal", the boy went on and said " do you really want to know? its because its against the law."
the words illegal and against the law means essentially the same thing.

TU QUOQUE
How can you be saying i did not do my part while you cannot even say a single word from your speech. This was what my groupmate for Bahasa Malaysia Drama assignment said when one of our members who was so disappointed with the outcome of todays's meeting, asked why we didnt memorize our scripts.
This adhominem fallacy basically occurs when someone tries to point out something but then it turns out that they also has the same weakness or fault that they are accusing others of.

ZIMBABWE PRESIDENTIAL ELECTIONS"

Zimbabwean presidential elections were held two weeks back but to date no results has been released. This has caused too much concern and today as I was reading news I came across this board, where people are giving their comments in regard to the delay of results realese. So for today’s post I am going to cut some of the comments and highlight some of the aspects of critical thinking the people use as they express their views.

One thing that amazes me is the muteness ((dyphemism) the writer here want to emphasise on how silent Zimbabwe neighbours are about the release of the results) of Zimbabwes neighbours over "big brother" Mugabe and his "fight" against imperialism
(Prejudicial Qualifiers) the writer has used punctuation to effect how he thinks of Mugabe as a president.Dysphemism: The satement above can be re written to make it (Euphimism) One thing that amuzes me is the lack of comment of Zimbabwean neighbours

When we consider the use of language above (muteness and lack of comment) we clearly see that by the writer using the word mute, it makes his concept
worse because the word mute sounds rude towards the people he/she is refering to but if the word lack of comment is used it shows respect making the opinion sound better. From these we can see that while dyphemism makes an opinon, place or object sound worse whereas Euphimism makes it sound better.

Mugabe is a dictator and
everyone knows ((proof substitute) the writer does not really provide proof but instead uses a word on its on becomes some kind of prove although it is not convincing) that.
The Supreme Court does not have the right to do that (vague), do what, the righter here might have been coomenting on a previous posts but he/she forgets that someone might read his post without going through the previous hence not knowing what “that” means leaving them like huh!!!!!.
I just get the feeling that Zanu-PF will swindle their way back in again through fiddling and intimidation. Democracy?
With Mugabe in power it's pretty doubtful isn't it? The writer here uses a (leading question), this is a kind of question thats guides one to respond in a certain way.

Zimbabwe is doomed. Mugabe has trashed the economy and there is massive
inflation at 100,000% with 80% unemployment (illustative sentence)

"GROCERY TIME"

huhhhhhh!!!! what am I going to write today, oh i have a plan. Free writing, this is a technique which can be used to generate ideas or as warm up exercise, so as to help u come up with useful words that can help you do your writing.

so i used this technique to remind myself of what i have done in my lectures and tutorials so far, then took some of the words i have jotted down and share with you more on them.
i gave myself a 1 minute time period, of which i closed my eyes and on a piece plain of paper wrote as many words as possible, for this creativity exercise, whenever you cant remember something you just put blank until next word comes
so here is how my writing went like
dsaera  daid  problem blank premise conclusion blank blank blank blank fallacies      ambiguity vague blank blank blank blank, questions  blank blank brainstorming
creativity blank blank assumptions valid invalid blank blank deductive inductive blank
alternative causal generalizaton overgenerality blank blank blank sequential

thats how far i could go, hopefully next time you do the same when you want to come up with ideas or refresh your mind, the good thing is from now onwards i will come back and refer to this when i do my posts (i will upload a pic i took while i was doing the exercise tomoro, technology is still failing me, its rejecting my pic, dont know why?)

RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN SENTENCES
Today i and my housemates went out to buy our grocery. Normally we use the bus which cost us about RM3 per person[A] and the bus takes long as we have to go to one stop and change bus to take one which will go to the grocery shop. sometimes you even miss the bus and have to wait for about half an hour for the next bus. Luckily a friend of mine who has a car voluntered to drive us there instead[B]. We went to Tesco where we bought pasta and toiletry[C]. Then we went to Giant Hypermarket to buy fruits and vegetables[D]. Finally we got back home at around 6pm. I was very tired when we arrived[E] so i headed straight to bed[F]!!!!!!

A and B - alternative relationship
C and D - sequential relationship
E and F - causal relationship

"SIMPLE MATHEMATICS"

This morning i woke up very tired as i slept late last nyt, m  not sure if i really do learn something from these two consecutive lectures I have every Friday. Guess what time I woke up,  hehe!!!! u wont believe it, exactly 8 oclock, the very same time that the class begin, i had to do everything so quick so atleast i attend half of my first lecture, cheers guys, college life guess u know.

When i got home i started surfing the internet like usual and this is what I came  accross, a must watch video clip below, while i was watching it, i couldn't hold myself but busted out into laughter, i told myself, nothing could have made my day better than this.

The man in this video is having a hard time trying to explain to his father and mother that 25/5  is 5, they are arguing that he is getting himself cheated for they know that 25/5 is equal to 14, to support their answer the elderly parents justify them by doing some calculations on the board, watch how they do their calculations, how were you going to convince them? The old woman even go on to attack her son by saying he is suprised at his learning.
Oh wait a minute, there is a problem in this situation so lets write the problem statement

Expectation: The  man is trying to convince his parents that he is not getting himself cheated by saying 25 divided by 5 is equal to  5

Reality: The parents cannot be convinced as they say 25 divided by 5 is 14

Gap: The man and the couple have different justifiable answers to one similar mathematical problem as shown by their calculations

Problem Statement: In this case the problem is the man is trying to convince the old woman and old man that she is not cheating the but the reality is that he failed to convince them.

I once heard someone saying doing mathematics is as easy as  abc,  in this case is it? i bet no, look at how the man is left confused by his parents who are as stubborn as a blood stain.

METAPHOR: Surfing the internet, in this case I am comparing my action of using the internet with a water sport
busted out, I compared my feelings of laughing with the sound produced when an inflated ballon breaks

The "Unknown Biblography"

This picture was taken from an online magazine, and by looking at the picture I am going to try and give my point of view on what could have been happening before,  now and what is probably going to happen next

The two lions on the side are both female, most probably a lioness and cub, the lioness's name is Nancy and the cub's name is Pretty. Before this Pretty and her mum were resting, somewhere in the bush, but now its approaching evening time and they lions are hungry, Pretty is still growing so she is more dependent on the mother, who is teaching her hunting skills. Now Nancy and Pretty are both spying at a targeted prey and the are coming up with best ideas to attack, when the time is right the lions will take their prey by suprise.

After this the lions will kill their prey, and if they are successful they will have their meal and go drink some water. lastly they will rest and wait for a new day to come
